ATA VISION AND MISSION:
Vision
To be the best provider of Taekwon-Do services to all Afghans in a very professional and academic way.
Mission
To represent, teach, promote, and develop the Korean Martial Art of Taekwon-Do, ITF style, countrywide regardless of race, gender, religion, and politics background, following ethical standards, and applying democratic principles in the hope of building a more peaceful united Afghanistan.
Objectives
· To promote and develop Taekwon-Do as a means of building a better society in Afghanistan;
· To regulate the teaching of Taekwon-Do as well as the development of new methods and practices;
· To establish and maintain the highest standards of professional ethics and conduct for all members of the ATA;
· To coordinate Taekwon-Do activities around the country;
· To establish training centers in different provinces of Afghanistan to qualify Afghans to be of ITF Certified Degree Holders, National Instructors, National Umpires and Examiners;
· To conduct, manage, and arrange championships, tournaments and demonstrations at the country level;
· To assist, recognize and encourage the affiliated schools and to furnish services and guidance to every individual, group or body for their interest;
· To unite all independent schools which are involved in TKD;
· To pave the road for Afghan Taekwon-Do practitioners to join the Taekwon-Do family at the world level, and to participate at International and Continental championships and events; and
· In the long run, to qualify Afghans to become international instructors, examiners and umpires, through participation at seminars andcourses organized by the ITF.
